Colt ended production of this model sometime in 1982. For comparision, my SP1 lower is # 33XXX and was made in 1974. Mine was the full size 20" bbl. rifle.VERY rare Colt orig Green label R6550 government service model serial GS007xxx. These GS serials where not meant to be civilianised or sold to the public.
